Next morning, when Shuichi was going to his office, Kyoko dared to ask him at the front door.
“Last night you said, ‘Damn! Bastard! Hell! Where has he gone?’, didn’t you? Who were you speaking about ?”
“What’s that? I didn’t,” answered Shuichi with an blank face .
“I’m sure of it. You said it. Who was it?'' Kyoko repeated to Shuichi looking at his full face.
“I never did. Why are you saying so?” even without changing his expression, he denied it.
Even though it was midnight, Kyoko didn’t hear that in her dream, she heard it in the real world.
Certainly, she heard that. Something like an invisible curtain was dropping between Kyoko and Shuichi. Shutting out all things in the real world, it was making them false. Trying to catch a feeling for certain and sure feeling, she stared at his full face again. It looked more apathetic than ever.
Kyoko thought that Shuichi must be playing innocent.
Then Shuichi opened the door escaping from her eyes and went out at a quicker pace.
